Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for start-up of transcription business wherein I am the sole proprietor and solo transcriptionist. Although I do have a team of highly experienced, reliable, dedicated transcriptionists on standby if the situation warrants so as to always be ready to take on numerous projects simultaneously.
Responsible for transcription of legal correspondence, court transcripts, medical record summaries as well as interviews, conference calls, webinars, seminars, live events, focus groups, etc. utilizing digital dictation equipment.
Medical Records Technician / Transcriptionist (3/06-5/06)

Duties/Responsibilities:
Utilization of headsets and transcribing machines to listen to recordings by physicians to transcribe a variety of medical reports, including chart notes, telephone calls, operative reports, and diagnostic studies.
Knowledge of the language of medicine, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, and treatment. Translate medical jargon and abbreviations into their expanded forms.
Review and edit reports for grammar and clarity for review, signature, and/or correction which eventually become a part of the patients' permanent file. Prepare patients' charts for surgery and/or clinic days for review by the doctor
